Clap it Up

In addtion to saving the lives of countless Neverland fairies, you can help your children with their motor skills and cognitive development just by clapping.  A recent study showed that children who engage in clapping games, songs or rhymes are not only more likely to have neat handwriting, they are also better spellers.  Revisit your playground memories with a little Miss Mary Mack...next time you need to kill a few minutes.  It's good for you!

For more clapping game ideas, try This Little Piggy by the fabulous Jane Yolen and our very own native Ohioan, Will Hillenbrand.
