"Of all the suspicious-looking houses in all the deserted woods in all the world...

...he had to roll up to hers..."
So begins a delightfully Streetcar Named Desire-esque story about Foxy DuBois and Egg, who gets invited in for a BITE.  While Foxy plans to eat Egg, he cleverly postpones each meal until, after an unplanned sleepover, he grows to an ENORMOUS size.  When Egg hatches, revealing his identity as a wicked alligator named Alphonso, Foxy is the one who must avoid becoming breakfast.

Multi-layered humor makes this one that adults won't mind reading and the surprise ending will help preschoolers make predictions.  The dangers of "always relying on the kindness of strangers" will be appreciated by both.
