You May Just Be a Dinosaur

If your children love dinosaurs, the funny and fact-filled picture book from Heather Macht, You May Just Be a Dinosaur, is sure to be a hit! This book asks questions to figure out if you are a dinosaur or not. These questions range from, “Do none of your clothes in your closet fit?” to “Do you have a long, scaly tail, but you’re not sure what for?” The colorful illustrations show the silly antics of dinosaurs trying to be human, and there are sidebars throughout the pages that give fun facts about different species of dinosaurs. This funny book will appeal to dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages!

Dino Block

Dinosaur lovers, rejoice! Christopher Franceschelli and Peskimo have teamed up to create an adorably illustrated and extremely informative dinosaur book, Dino Block. Throughout the book, comparisons are made between dinosaurs and animals or objects that we have today. The first page shows something with which we’re familiar, like a goose: “I have a neck like a goose.” When you turn the page, you see a picture of a dinosaur with a goose-like neck: “I am a coelophysis. (SEE-low-FYE-sis)” Each featured dinosaur is followed by a pronunciation key. So, if you’re like me and tend to butcher the name of pretty much every dinosaur besides stegosaurus, you’ll finally be able to teach your children the correct pronunciation! You’re welcome. J
